I'm in News Writing Class; working on THREE articles. :) One with Olivia Murphy. We are sharing an article that focuses on how the economy affects college life and budgeting. We have efficient information and ideas for questions, we just need interviews. Hopefully tomorrow, we can interview UGA students and Terry College Business Professors. Also, I'm working on an article about texting and driving. Our governor, Sonny Perdue, signed the Caleb's Law (Senate Bill 360). This new law states that drivers who are caught reading, writing or sending any kind of text message, including emails, can now face a $150 fine and a point on their driver's license. However, teens caught using their phones while driving face the same $150 fine but if an accident occurs, the fine doubles. The law goes into effect on July 1. The talk about the new law is very interesting. I'm excited about interviewing Journalism Academy students and anyone who would like to express their outlook on the law and how it will change casualties and statistics. :) Last but not least, I'm also writing about Facebook Ads. So if you would like to tell me any info, let me know :) :)
